Here is the latest tuning file version for the VW Scirocco 2.0 FSI. The Scirocco has got some hardware updates
(exhaust, no cats, airfilter) and a new software beside the obvious drop down and 20 inch rims.
This Scirocco has got our high end power file that boosts this Scirocco to about 300hp. This file
has been tested now several times in different parts of the world, and gives from 295 to 305 hp depending
of area, fuel quality and other minor different settings. The car is owned and modified by one of our dealers
while we have supported the tune file. Check out the pictures below, and see if you don’t agree in the fact
that this car is sexy. It not only looks good, but it pulls fantastic too ;-)

We would like to present our latest product, the OptiCan DUAL II!
After successful testing and to meet the demand from our customers we have equipped the new Dual II with some new features.
(All Dual´s are possible to upgrade to Dual II).
So, what´s new? The hardware has been equipped with an internal BDM interface for the Motorola MPC 5xx family. Thus making it possible to offer the Dual as a Stand-Alone BDM.
The advantage is that for a reasonable price you become a BDM unit in highest quality with the option of updating it online to for example an OptiCan Flasher.
Further more, when you buy the Dual II BDM You also get the Debugger Tool free of charge.
With this, you have a repairing and programming tool of the highest quality available.

We regret to inform you that today we had to dismiss a long-term member of staff. The member of staff is accused of having committed a criminal offence to the disadvantage of our company together with a former customer. For this reason and based on our complaint of the offence, the criminal investigation department searched the premises of the accused individuals in order to seize further evidence. If the suspicion is confirmed, we will also take action against the offenders under civil law and demand compensation of the loss incurred by us. If in the course of the investigation it is found that other individuals have also been involved in criminal offences at the expense of our company, we will not hesitate to effect their criminal conviction and demand payment of amends of our losses using any remedies available.
At this point, we would like to stress that neither our customers nor the quality of our products have been adversely affected. We will therefore continue our business operations without any adverse effect.

We are today changing the price policy for the OptiCan system.
We offer now the Flasher system complete for an yearly update fee. This yearly update
fee is for ALL PKW’s in our system. The yearly update will include ALL ecu updates we have,
included the different edc16/17 modules we have in the system – and newer coming.
The price will be EUR 1000, Netto for 1 year.
The License update will be for one year at the time, for example 09/18/2008 > 09/18/2009
The License will be valid for ALL PKW updates within the year of license.
When ordering, we need the serial number of the hardware, and dongle number (key file number).

Since correct voltage is so important when we flash cars, have we tried to find the best alternative for a power supply for our OptiCan users. We have earlier found Bremen HS1000, which is an expensive power charger. All data about this is available on our download site.
Since this charger is so expensive, have we searched for another cheaper supply. I have now the pleasure of announcing that we have found another supply also.
We can now offer PSP1000 from MeanWell. This power supply has more or less the same specs as Bremen. The price for PSP1000 is significant lower than the one from Bremen. We have special deal and price for this power supply. Please go to the download page to see the spec on MeanWell PSP1000

It is with great pleasure we welcome a new dealer for OptiCan in Norway. Kimmit Sport Racing is located in Førde, west in Norway. They will cover large areas from Bergen to Møre & Romsdal with their mobile tuner car. Kimmit has been in the tuning business a while now, representing a big tuner in Norway, using CMD flash tools. New BDM update v. 1.03
New functions have been implemented. New processor is now ready, the MPC555, which will cover a broad range of ecu types, included the BMW Siemens MSV70.
Further more is there now build in an automatically power control for read and write. Complete ID is also build in. The new version also make sure that the file is saved 100% correct, and there also has been a reduction in write time with about 90% !

We have the latest few months seen that there is big problems for a lot of dealers to maintain correct Voltage
on the cars they are to flash. In order to be sure that the Voltage is correct at any given time, have we searched
the market for the best Power Supply available. We have found that our supplier of power chargers through
several years – Elektron-Bremen – has launched a new Power Supply that is simply fantastic.
Elektron-Bremen has launched their new HS-1000 which is a intelligent power supply approved by all car manufacturers
and that works in the whole world, from 110-260 systems.

New fantastic news from optiCan
We are proud to announce the new software OptiCan Counter
With the OptiCan Counter you can now change the „flash Counter“ in the edc16 ecu’s !!
No other flash tool is presently able to offer this function.
Consequently, OptiCan is the only tool in the world that can presently provide this option. As required, the check sum will be set to the original value when original flashing of the ECU is performed.
In addition, the software will run on any commercially available PC or laptop to enable you to directly access your own data.
Information on the flash counter:
With every ECU, especially those ECUs of the Audi/VAG Group, the following information will be saved when flashing from the control unit: both programming attempts via diagnosis and successfully completed programming attempts. Thus, the manufacturer will be able to check at any time, whether a vehicle is tuned or whether it is still in its original state.
Thanks to the new OptiCan Counter software, this problem is a thing of the past.

We hate to make warnings, but sometimes is it necessary. We have the last few weeks seen problems in flashing cars while using the latest Norton Antivirus version. There have been three incidences where Norton Antivirus has caused problem in the flashing sequence with OptiCan. We want our users to be aware of this issue, and hope that you all take care of this issue if you have Norton Antivirus installed on the computer used for flashing with OptiCan.
What Norton Antivirus does with OptiCan: Norton search in the processes for virus signatures, and since OptiCan has binary files running during the flash process, will Norton at some occasions terminate the flash process because it believe the binary files has virus.
However, no worries….there is two options for solving the issue:
1 – You can turn of the Norton virus signature scanner while working with OptiCan. Then just turn it on again after ended OptiCan session.
2 – You may just change antivirus program. There are many good antivirus systems out there, which works perfect with OptiCan…. (Check other thread about free antivirus system on Checksumm.com forum)

Before installing the latest Flasher version, please uninstall the old version manually.
Instruction for manually uninstall of old Flasher version:
Start – Control panel – Add/Remove programs - Scroll down to “OptiCan Flasher” – highlight it – then click remove.
OR
Find the directory manually: OPEN : c:/programs/common files/ Then highlight the directory of Optican Flasher, push Shift+Delete for a complete erase of the directory.
If you get problems email us ASAP and we will help you. This version has several new features:
Some new ecu’s –inclusive improved read and write time for the ME9 series.
The 400 version also has the new Smart cars which only may be used with the OptiCan Dual Flasher. When using the old (black) OptiCan, the specific car will appear red, meaning not available. We advice all users to update the software ASAP, and then directly after update the OptiCan hardware.
New cool design and simplified user interface. Integrated web interface, where the user may have their own web site or the database directly shown in the software – no more need to change from software to web browser in order to upload a file.

We are now going to SEMA show in Las Vegas. This year will we be found on the booth of Volkswagen USA. The reason is that one of the project cars set up by Neuspeed for Volkswagen USA, has been flashed with OptiCan. The car is a VW Jetta 2.5 v6 with a fitted turbo kit. The ecu is a Bosch ME7.1.1 CAN 40Mhz. We will come back with more information about the car during or after the show.

New update—272— now improved edc16 for VAG.
OptiCan now makes sure that new software updates from VAG and the original tester do not affect the tuned software. OptiCan is first out with this - and for the time being alone with this.
